BATH TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- Two-time defending champion Scott Hebert has shot a 4-under-par 68 to win the Michigan PGA Professional Championship by three strokes.
The pro from Grand Traverse Resort again had the day's best round Wednesday, following Tuesday's 7-under 65. His nine-under 207 put him three shots ahead of Brian Cairns of Highland Golf Center, who shot 68.
The final round took place at Eagle Eye Golf Club in Clinton County's Bath Township, about 75 miles west-northwest of Detroit. Rounds 1 and 2 were played at nearby Hawk Hollow Golf Course.
Seventy-two of the 161 starters advanced to the final round and competed for $62,000 in prize money. Hebert won $7,000
