EAST LANSING, Mich. – Tickets for the Michigan State-North Carolina men’s basketball game on Dec. 3 at Ford Field will go on sale to the public on Tuesday, Aug. 26 at 10 a.m. They range in price $9 to $139 and may be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com or via phone charge at (248) 645-6666. Tickets may also be purchased at the Ford Field Box Office Monday – Friday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. This is the only college basketball game scheduled for Ford Field this season prior to the 2009 Final Four on April 4 & 6.

This will be Michigan State’s second game at Ford Field. Previously, the Spartans played Kentucky at "The BasketBowl" on Dec. 13, 2003, in front of a world-record crowd of 78,129.

The Spartans and Tar Heels will be meeting as part of the 10th-annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Michigan State returns six of its top scorers from a team that advanced to the Sweet Sixteen of the 2008 NCAA Tournament, posting a record of 27-9. North Carolina advanced to the 2008 Final Four, and finished the season with a 36-3 record, capturing the ACC regular-season and tournament championships. The Tar Heels return their top six scorers and all five starters from last year’s squad, including National Player of the Year Tyler Hansbrough.
