LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- A bit of hockey history is headed to the Michigan state Capitol.
The Stanley Cup will be displayed in the Capitol rotunda from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday. It's a chance for the public to catch a glimpse of the prize awarded to the Detroit Red Wings for their recent NHL championship run, which culminated with a series victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Stanley Cup will be brought to Lansing by Christopher Ilitch, vice president of the Red Wings and president of Ilitch Holdings Inc.
