Tigers Make Some Moves

DETROIT (AP) -- The Detroit Tigers have bought left-handed pitcher Casey Fossum's contract from Triple A Toledo.
The team also says Tuesday that it has designated reliever Francisco Cruceta for assignment. The right-hander gave up the winning run in last night's 3-2 loss to the Athletics in Oakland.
Fossum joined the Tigers on April 8 as a minor league free agent.
He had started four of 11 games with Toledo, posting a 3-0 record and 1.96 ERA. Fossum had 48 strikeouts in 46 innings.
