DETROIT (AP) -- Detroit's Johan Franzen and Tomas Holmstrom are among the NHL's best at distracting goaltenders and tipping pucks past them.
The Dallas Stars plan on getting the Red Wings twosome out of the way tomorrow night in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals.
But Franzen has scored an NHL-high 27 times since March 2nd. That 27-game roll includes a league-best and franchise-record 12 goals in the postseason.
Both Franzen and Holmstrom have benefited from post-lockout rules that make it harder for opponents to rough them up when they don't have the puck.
Franzen and Holmstrom both redirected shots into the net in Detroit's 4-1 win in Game 1.
