CHICAGO (AP) -- Tigers starter Dontrelle Willis was taken out of tonight's game in Chicago, moments after he slipped and fell while delivering a pitch.
Willis walked White Sox leadoff hitter Carlos Quentin. On his first pitch to Orlando Cabrera, Willis' right leg gave way and he went down in front of the mound.
A trainer and manager Jim Leyland came to the mound, and Willis told them he was OK to continue.
But after Willis walked Cabrera and threw a wild pitch with Jim Thome at bat, Leyland removed the lefty and brought in Aquilino Lopez.
