Softball Outlasts Western Michigan, 5-4, For Sixth Straight Win

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State freshman Jessica Bracamonte drove in Gina Mondo with one out in the bottom of the seventh to give the Spartans (20-15, 4-2) their sixth straight victory, as MSU defeated Western Michigan, 5-4, Wednesday at Old College Field. Junior catcher Kara Weigle went 3-for-3 as she sparked the Green and White offense, plating Michigan State's first three runs, before Lindsey Hansen highlighted the game with her first career home run in the bottom of the fourth.

The MSU victory snaps Western Michigan's four-game win streak, and drops the Broncos to 11-9 overall.
