Michigan Returns The Favor And Dumps MSU, 5-2

DETROIT (AP) -- Tim Miller scored twice to lift Michigan to a 5-2 win over Michigan State on Saturday night.
It was the Wolverines' first win over the Spartans (21-8-5, 17-6-3 CCHA) in four games this season.
Aaron Palushaj, Brandon Naurato and Max Pacioretty also scored for Michigan (26-4-4, 19-3-4). Billy Sauer made 25 saves.
Chris Mueller and Tim Kennedy got Michigan State's goals. Jeff Lerg stopped 39 shots.
The Spartans scored twice in the second period to pull to within one, but Pacioretty's goal with 35 seconds let in the middle period made it 4-2.
Miller scored into an empty net with 32 seconds left.
Mueller put MSU on the board 8:53 into the second period and Kennedy's power-play goal with 7:46 left made it 3-2.
Miller's first goal of the season opened the scoring 5:20 into the game. Palushaj made it 2-0 at 10:38 and Naurato put in a power-play goal with 19 seconds left in the opening period.
