Grand Ledge (2-2, 6-2) stunned East Lansing (3-2, 6-2) as Mason Maurer beat the buzzer as the Comets beat the Trojans 46-45. With .9 seconds the Comets inbounded from mid-court, the ball was tipped right into the hands of Maurer who made no mistake.
The game was a back and forth affair throughout the fourth quarter. Joe Estrada tied the score for Grand Ledge at 44, but Charlie Woods was fouled with under three seconds to go. Woods made just one of the two free throws. That set up the last-second dramatics for Grand Ledge.
Jordan Schafer lead the Comets with 16 points, while Erik Schmidt paced the Trojans with 11.
