Michigan Advances To G-L-I Final

DETROIT (AP) -- Billy Sauer's 48 saves have helped lift Michigan to a 6-0 win over Providence in a semifinal of the Great Lakes Invitational Tournament.
Aaron Palushaj also had a goal and two assists for the Wolverines in today's game at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.
Michigan State and Michigan Tech are scheduled to play tonight in the other semifinal. The championship game is scheduled for tomorrow night.
Kevin Porter and Louie Caporusso each had a goal and an assist for Michigan (17-2-0). Anthony Ciraulo, Ben Winnett and Travis Turnbull also scored.
Tyler Sims had made nine saves for Providence (6-7-2) before being pulled after two periods.
