ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Chris Osgood stopped 20 shots for his 45th career shutout tonight (Wednesday) as the Detroit Red Wings beat the St. Louis Blues 5-0.
The visiting Red Wings got two goals from center Valtteri Filppula.
Detroit won for the fifth time in its last six games and improved to 27-7-3 overall.
St. Louis fell to 18-13-3.
Brian Rafalski added a goal and two assists for Detroit, and Nicklas Lidstrom celebrated a new contract by scoring his fifth of the season.
Jiri Hudler added a goal and an assist.
