AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- Cleveland's LeBron James didn't play in the second half because of a finger sprain and the Cavaliers were routed by the Detroit Pistons 109-74.
James sprained his left index finger in the second quarter. The X-rays were negative and the Cavs say he'll be evaluated again Thursday.
Richard Hamilton scored 18 for Detroit and Tayshaun Prince added 16 points in a rematch of last season's Eastern Conference finals.
James had 15 points and three assists in the first half, accounting for more than a third of the Cavs' points. Detroit led 48-43 at the break.
Cleveland was playing its fourth game in five days.
