EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's and women's basketball teams will celebrate the official start of the 2007-08 season on Friday, Oct. 12. This year, the Spartans are taking Midnight Madness out of the Breslin Center and across the street to Munn Ice Arena, home to the 2007 NCAA Champion Michigan State hockey team. Admission is free.

The event gets underway at 9 p.m. with autographs for Spartan fans. The formal program will feature the introduction of the men's and women's basketball teams. The evening will also include performances by the Spartan Marching Band, Michigan State cheerleaders, MSU dance team and Sparty. The evening concludes with the women's team taking the court, followed by the men's team.
