The Big Ten says Michigan won't have to forfeit any football games for using an ineligible player.

Safety Artis Chambers played in three games but wasn't eligible under conference freshman rules.

Michigan last month reported an administrative error involving Chambers. Penalties could have included forfeiture of the Wolverines' 14-9 win over then-Number 10 Penn State on September 22nd.

Chambers will retain his athletic scholarship and can continue practicing with the team. But the Fort Wayne, Indiana native will miss the remainder of the season.
