ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -- Coach Rod Marinelli says his Detroit Lions have the chance to become one of the NFL's top teams but can't do it without a healthy Jon Kitna.
The Lions are 3-1 after yesterday's 37-27 win over Chicago, matching their win total from last season.
They visit Washington on Sunday.
Marinelli is in his second season with the Lions and says he doesn't think they're overachieving.
Kitna said today that he feels great, but the 35-year-old quarterback has taken a beating this season.
He missed part of Detroit's win against Minnesota with a concussion, and was limping for much of the Bears game.
