EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) -- Michigan safety Artis Chambers can't play in any more games this year or travel with the team.
That's because of what athletic director Bill Martin calls a (-quote-) "misinterpretation of Big Ten freshman eligibility rules."
Martin says Chambers remains enrolled at Michigan and can still practice with the team. But the Fort Wayne, Indiana native didn't travel with the Wolverines for today's game at Northwestern.
Chambers played in each of the Wolverines' first four games. But Martin says he doesn't yet know if Chambers' ineligibility might lead to a forfeit of any games.
