Leafs Skate Past Wings

TORONTO -- The Toronto Maple Leafs scored three power-play goals and beat the Detroit Red Wings 6-4 in an exhibition game on Friday night.
Jason Blake, Darcy Tucker, Boyd Devereaux, Ian White, Andy Wozniewski and Chad Kilger scored for the Leafs, who open the season Wednesday at home against Ottawa.
Kris Draper scored twice and Niklas Kronwall and Pavel Datsyuk once each for Detroit.
The teams complete their pre-season schedules in Detroit on Saturday.
Kronwall scored on Detroit's first shot 42 seconds into the game. Blake tied it on a power play at 5:28.
It was 3-3 after a four-goal splurge early in the second period. Tucker scored a on a power-play 39 seconds in. John Pohl stripped Datsyuk of the puck in the neutral zone and passed to Chad Kilger, who faked a shot and slid the puck to Devereaux for an easy goal at 2:38.
Draper got behind Tomas Kaberle for a breakaway and beat Andrew Raycroft low stick side at 2:58. Datsyuk, spotting a free puck in the crease, reached in to poke it into the net at 3:22.
White emerged from the penalty box to collect a high lob of a pass from Staffan Kronvall and slip the puck between Jimmy Howard's legs at 11:18 to cap a breakaway.
Draper was at the lip of Raycroft's crease to redirect in on his backhand at 11:59 a Dallas Drake pass. Wozniewski slapped in a shot on a power play at 16:43.
Kilger got the only goal of the third period when he beat Howard with a long shot at 17:27.
