Lansing area's best kept secret that's not a secret. The faces that serve you are about the only thing that's changed in 31+ years, yet some of the faces have been there for near 20. The regulars have been there for 31+ years. House made chili, soups, bloody marys, salad dressings to start. All of which are made from recipes created in 1973. From sandwiches & light salads to hearty steaks & amazing seafood. Don't even get me started about the top-notch wine list. Live jazz Thursday thru Saturday. Show me another place where you can look at the bar and see a college prof, a hippie, a lobbyist, a suit, a punk rocker, and a starving artist chewing the fat and talking about sports, music, world events, or whatever they have in common. I've been to a Mardi Gras party one week and a wedding rehearsal the next in the same banquet room and it always seems as if the place was designed just for that event. That cozy little place we're all looking for is sitting right under our noses; whether you choose to wear a 3-piece suit, jeans and a t-shirt, or your softball uniform after the game. The mom & pop restaurants still have that little something over the flood of cookie-cutter national chains...atmosphere.
