A weekend gathering in Detroit is focusing on beekeeping in cities.
A group called CityBees/Detroit on Saturday is holding its first conference, titled "All About Bees" at Waldorf School. The event brings together beekeeping experts from across the Great Lakes region.
It's aimed at people who are curious about honeybees as well as beekeepers. Part of the focus will be the challenges and opportunities of beekeeping in a northern U.S. city like Detroit that has cold winter weather.
