A traveling exhibit that's about office furniture as art is opening at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn.
"Good Design: Stories from Herman Miller" opens Saturday and runs through April 25. The exhibit showcases the development and evolution of many of the Zeeland-based furniture maker's significant designs of the past 80 years.
The exhibit about the ways in which Herman Miller Inc. used design to improve people's lives at work first was seen last year at the Muskegon Museum of Art. It will continue to travel after this stop.
Most of the items come from Henry Ford Museum's massive Herman Miller collection, much of which has never been publicly exhibited.
Henry Ford Museum is part of The Henry Ford, a historical attraction that includes Greenfield Village.
