Some Michigan Universities Honoring Promise
Several colleges are ponying up the money its students lost when the Promise Scholarship was cut.

Ferris State University isn't the only college in Michigan honoring a promise lawmakers couldn't keep.
Michigan State University and Saginaw Valley State University will pony up the money its students lost when the state cut the Michigan Promise Scholarship.
SVSU is using $700,000 from its funds to cover the costs, while MSU is making up the money with a university grant.
Central Michigan and Grand Valley State have said they will not pay for the scholarship.
