A little bit of Thanksgiving cheer is coming to Detroit earlier than usual this year.
Wednesday is America's Thanksgiving Parade Day at Comerica Park. Visitors to the afternoon game between the Detroit Tigers and the Tampa Bay Rays will be greeted by floats that are part of the annual Thanksgiving Day parade.
The first 10,000 people at the game were to get clown noses.
Inside the stadium, there will be face painting and performances by the Mid American Pom Pon All Star Team and the Martin Luther King high school marching band. The parade's clowns also will be on hand.
The Parade Co., which produces the parade, says it's the first time it's held such an event at Comerica Park.
