$8 per hour, or more depending on experience
Ensure residents receive the meals as ordered in a timely and friendly manner. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serve meals to residents.
o Set up assigned Dining Room areas prior to meal service.
o Serve residents beverage and meal order, monitoring dietary need.
o Pour coffee, juices, water, etc.
o Take resident meal orders, assisting with meal selection as needed.
o Serve residents ordered meals.
o Assure residents are satisfied with meal served.
o Encourage residents to eat-offer substitutes within dietary restrictions.
• Performs daily assigned duties such as:
o Set up tables for the next meal.
o Bus and clean tables as assigned; return items to designated areas.
o Dispose of garbage as needed.
o Perform dish and utensil washing as needed.
o Sweep and mop floors as directed.
o Complete back work as assigned.
o Deliver/retrieve room trays as assigned.
o Prepare and set up supplies for the next meal.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English to interpret and communicate the menu, resident requests, resident dietary needs as well as follow rules and safety.
• Ability to communicate with residents, staff and family members.

Machine Repair Technician

Individual will be responsible for performing all repair work on both manual and computer controlled equipment within the facility. A working knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, basic electronics and electrical is a must for anyone applying for this position. Capital Area Michigan Works! is seeking a candidate for the position of Talent Specialist/TAA. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: performing Employment Services functions at our Lansing Service Center; providing excellent customer service (in person and via telephone) to employers, job seekers, and visitors; assisting job seekers and employers in using the Pure Michigan Talent Connect web site, including troubleshooting, problem solving and computer problems; assisting customers with resumes, cover letters, job search strategies; administering the federal TAA (Trade Adjustment Assistance) program for this region according to TAA regulations; and administering Work Keys assessments and scoring according to ACT policies. Full-time. 40 hours per week.
Passion and support for the employer demand driven system. At least one year of experience in Human Resources, business management, or retail management. Bachelor degree (or equivalent work experience) in human resources, business, education, psychology or related social science area preferred. Interpersonal skills necessary to work with customers, staff, employers, on-site supervisors, and the general public. Understanding of job search activities, community resources, labor market information and career development. PC Window applications, database software, and Internet experience. Work history with demonstrated success in taking initiative, follow through, professionalism, problem solving, attention to detail and teamwork. Previous experience administering TAA preferred. Previous experience administering Work Keys assessments preferred. Business Solutions Professional (BSP) certification strongly recommended. Helpful: Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) Certification; bilingual (any languages); knowledge of workforce development; social media skills.
