U.N. Experts Destroying Syrian Chemical Weapons


Damascus, Syria - United Nations inspectors are on the ground in Syria, overseeing a destruction of the Assad regime's chemical weapon stockpiles. Experts on the ground in damascus were seen leaving their hotel for an unknown location Monday. The team is made up of experts from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, as well as United Nations personnel. One of the officials told reporters their day of the work in Syria was "excellent." Syrian President Bashar al-Assad won the praises of U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry recently for his cooperation in dismantling his chemical weapons arsenal.
