Terrorists Attack Yemen Police Station

YEMEN - Armed men tried to storm a police headquarters in southern Yemen Tuesday. State media said men in a number of vehicles tried to force their way into the compound in Aden, the main city in southern Yemen. Explosives were detonated in one of the vehicles. An exchange of gunfire with police ensued, and seven police officers were injured. A security official said the attackers were not able to enter the police headquarters. Earlier, security sources told Reuters police averted another suicide bombing attempt on the same building and arrested two people who admitted to having al Qaeda links.
