GRENOBLE, France (AP) -- Doctors in France say they're taking it "hour by hour," as they treat champion Formula One driver Michael Schumacher for the serious head injury he suffered in a skiing accident Sunday. They say he's still in a medically-induced coma. Schumacher was wearing a helmet when he fell and hit the right side of his head on a rock at the Meribel Resort in the French Alps. Doctors say without the helmet, he would have been killed.
Outside the hospital where Schumacher has been receiving treatment, fans have shown up to give their support. Schumacher is the most successful formula one driver ever, with 91 career wins and seven championships.
