As the search for the missing Skelton brothers continues, police in Morenci are urging residents to check their own properties. Specifically, people living in Fulton, Williams, Hillsdale and Lenawee counties.
Police Chief Larry Weeks released a statement to media Tuesday, saying there is no new information on the investigation at this time. His desire is to keep his team focused on the task at hand and if information develops, it will be released to the media.
Since Monday, no organized volunteer searches are going on. Investigators are reviewing places already searched and will continue to do so as new information comes in. However, police are urging homeowners to go out and walk their own properties and to notify them if anything seems suspicious.
The police chief says they will continue to work on leads and tips as they come in. If you know of anything that can help in this investigation, call the tip line at 517-458-7104.
Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton were last seen at their father's house in Morenci on Thanksgiving Day. Their father, John Skelton, is behind bars in a Toledo jail on three charges of parental kidnapping. Police have said they do not anticipate a positive outcome in this case.
