KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) -- At least 20 people are dead in a series of attacks across Afghanistan.
A suicide bombing and some roadside bombs were used to carry out the attacks. They come even as armed clashes between insurgents and Afghan security forces decrease with the arrival of cooler weather.
In one of the attacks, 10 civilians died as their vehicle struck a land mine in southern Helmand province. Officials say the group had been headed to a wedding.
Three policemen died in an attack by a suicide bomber on a motorcycle amid a police patrol in the southern city of Kandahar.
