The FBI probe of two men arrested in Amsterdam after suspicious items turned up in one of the men’s luggage were probably not on a test run for a future terror attack, a U.S. official said Tuesday.

Dutch prosecutors say two Yemeni men arrested amid fears they were conducting a dry run for an airline terror attack have been freed without charge after investigations turned up no evidence to link them to a terror plot.

The national prosecutor's office announced their release in a statement on its website.

Wednesday's statement said that because of the lack of evidence "there is no reason to hold the men any longer."

The men were arrested Monday in Amsterdam on a United Airlines flight from Chicago following a request from U.S. law enforcement officials.

I can't believe the patience of Middle-Eastern people. You know if a bunch of white people were being poorly treated based on their skin color, they'd start rioting. I pray it never happens, but if there is a large, racial revolt, it'll be the blame of all the narrow-minded Caucasian-Americans that have made this nation inhabitable unless you look like them. And people believe progress is the enemy. This land is your land, this land is my land; unless you talk or look funny to us white folk.
