Fresh Express is voluntarily recalling some of its salad products because of a possible health risk from Listeria monocytogenes.
The Salinas, Calif.-based company is recalling 2,825 cases of Veggie Lovers Salad. The recalled salad mix has a product code of I208 and use-by date of Aug. 10.
Officials say the product is being recalled after one package tested positive for the bacterium. No illnesses have been reported.
The product was distributed to 13 states: Missouri, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Kansas, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. It also could've been redistributed in Arkansas, Tennessee, West Virginia, Iowa, Minnesota, Virginia, Vermont, New Hampshire, Nebraska, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Mississippi and the District of Columbia.

Has any one looked up what this "bacteria" is? I did, and right now I am very hassitant about buying any salad mixture! If you are pregnant watch out! This means you will lose your baby if you eat it, the information I read says the bacteria can cause spontaneous abortion in the 2nd and 3rd trimester, or still birth! COME ON PEOPLE WATCH WHAT YOUR DOING TO AMERICANS FOOD!!!!!!
