A Jackson county man has been formerly charged with stabbing his roommate. It happened last Thursday at an apartment in Brooklyn in the 100 block of Lane.
40-year-old Brian Huntley Phillips was charged Sunday with felony assault with intent to do great bodily harm.
An argument between Phillips and his roommate, 32-year-old Steven Lloyd Fridd, led to thy stabbing.
Investigators say, despite a serious wound to his back, Fridd was able to walk a short distance to a doctor's office and later Life-Flighted to U of M hospital. He has since been discharged.
Phillips was arrested at the apartment and has been jailed since then.
State Police investigators say they also found meth making material in the apartment.
