WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama is heading to Colorado to comfort distraught families of victims gunned down in Friday's movie theater shooting rampage.
As authorities continue their probe of the attack, Obama will meet Sunday in Aurora with loved ones of the 12 moviegoers who perished, and get an update from local officials.
In his weekly radio and Internet address, Obama urged Americans to embrace the grieving families "and let them know we will be there for them as a nation."
After the Colorado stop, Obama flies to San Francisco, where on Monday he'll start a three-day campaign trip. The president will address a Veterans of Foreign Wars gathering in Reno, Nev. He's also holding fundraisers in California, Oregon, Washington state and Louisiana.
