President Barack Obama is due to join his family in Hawaii late Wednesday.

Obama is departing Washington after conducting a nationally televised press conference, and signing a measure repealing the "don't ask, don't tell" military policy and other significant legislation.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports he's due to arrive at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam at 11:50 p.m. on Wednesday.

Limitations on the air space around Honolulu are to begin before Air Force One arrives, and will continue until soon after Obama leaves, which could be Jan. 2.

First Lady Michelle Obama, their daughters and first dog Bo arrived Saturday. They are staying at a three-house compound in Kailua, where security restrictions on the ground and adjacent waters are already in place.
