INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Authorities brought in searchlights and went house to house overnight, looking for any other possible victims after a deafening explosion killed one person, leveled two homes and set two others ablaze in an Indianapolis neighborhood.

The explosion forced about 200 people from the devastated neighborhood and two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Authorities said one body was recovered after the flames were extinguished from the blast that shattered windows, crumpled walls and did other damage to dozens of other homes.

Lieut. Bonnie Hensley, with the Indianapolis Fire Department, says the neighborhood "looks like a war zone."

The blast was heard for miles all around.

The cause of the explosion remains unknown. Investigators are expected to better assess the rubble after daybreak for clues to what happened. Meanwhile, all power, gas and other utilities were shut off.
