NEW YORK (AP) -- President Barack Obama is soaking in the support -- and the campaign cash -- of elite New York entertainers.
The president and first lady Michelle Obama are attending a campaign fundraiser at the home of actress Sarah Jessica Parker. Tickets for the intimate dinner come at a cost of $40,000 per person.
Obama told the 50 people attending that his supporters will be a "tie-breaker" in an election that will determine a vision for the nation's future.
The president was set to headline a second glitzy fundraiser in New York later Thursday night.
