A $1,000 reward is being offered for information about who might have set a dog on fire during Halloween weekend in Detroit.
Senior cruelty investigator for the Michigan Humane Society Mark Ramos tells The Oakland Press of Pontiac for a Tuesday story that someone poured gasoline on the dog and set it on fire. Ramos describes the case as "horrific."
The pit bull mix named Lady was picked up by the Michigan Humane Society on Saturday, about a week after she was burned. Ramos says the dog's owners initially thought the burns could be treated at home.
Additional details about the Michigan Humane Society's reward may be found on its website.
