A man is in custody, accused of calling a bomb threat into the Clinton Country courthouse Friday morning.

27-year-old Samuel Lee Stevens, Jr. of DeWitt was arrested Friday morning, just minutes after the threat was received. Investigators were able to trace the call to Stevens' house using caller ID. He's been charged with filing a false report about a bomb

Investigators say Stevens was upset with the Clinton County courts over a suspended drivers license.

The courthouse in downtown St. Johns was evacuated for about 45 minutes. No explosives were found during a search of the building.

To bad stupidity is not a crime. Of course, politicians would not want it on the book because of self incrimination.
