Hewlett Packard told employees at its Lansing call center that their jobs were being relocated to a company site in Pontiac. A H-P spokesperson told WILX.com that the move is part of a company wide consolidation for efficiencies.

No jobs are being eliminated, however, employees will either have to commute or relocate to the Pontiac site to keep their jobs.

The closing began today and will be carried out in stages over the next five to six months.

The company declined to say how many jobs are involved.
