Despite an intense legal battle and Thursday's contentious vote, the Okemos road project is back on line.
The nealry $3 million dollar project has yet to begin construction, but today Consumer's Power was nearby checking power lines.
Those lines were moved to accomodate an eventual turn lane.
Bids for work will begin coming in after the holday weekend, and construction could begin as soon as mid June.
The goal for the two mile stretch begining at W. Jolly Rd. and running just past mount hope is to be mostly finished before Labor day.
