DETROIT (AP) -- Authorities say three people have been arrested and at least 30 vehicles have been impounded after an overnight crackdown on drag racing in Detroit.

The Wayne County sheriff's office says shots were fired at one point late Friday. Gunfire has been a common complaint from residents. The races have been linked to violence, even death.

Sheriff Benny Napoleon says he won't tolerate loud cars and "lewd, drug-fueled behavior." He says residents in some west side neighborhoods feel terrorized.

The sheriff's office worked with Detroit police on the crackdown.

Now if Jackson would follow them on this then maybe the loud cars here would go away. And the stupid loud music that vibrates the walls and floors of the house or building your in when they go by, a stop to this would be nice.
