A 70-year-old woman will stand trial in the death of a 10-month-old boy killed when a minivan rear-ended the Amish horse-and-buggy he was riding in.
A pretrial hearing was held Wednesday in Hillsdale County District Court for Doris Jean Johns.
Johns is charged with a moving violation causing death.
Michael Steury Jr. was thrown from the buggy May 29 in Camden Township, near the Ohio and Indiana state lines.
Police have said the child's parents and a young sibling who also were riding in the buggy were treated for injuries.
The three people in the minivan were not injured.
A jury trial for Johns is scheduled for Aug. 28.
