Woman Sexually Assaulted Near School Playground

Police are hoping someone can help identify the man wanted in a recent sex assault in Lansing.

It happened just after midnight on Monday, July 9. The woman was walking to a friend's house when a man started to follow her, then sexually assaulted her near the playground at Bingham Elementary School.

The suspect is described as a black male, mid 30's, about 5' 7" to 5' 9" tall. He has a dark complexion and stocky with a muscular build, with brown eyes, black hair, un-kept goatee and scruffy facial hair. He has a poor complexion and he had a small, clear band-aid on his right cheek. The suspect was last seen wearing a black ball cap, possibly backwards, a black t-shirt with white writing and black pants.
