Woman Sexually Assaulted Near School Playground

Police are hoping someone can help identify the man wanted in a recent sex assault in Lansing.

It happened just after midnight on Monday, July 9. The woman was walking to a friend's house when a man started to follow her, then sexually assaulted her near the playground at Bingham Elementary School.

The suspect is described as a black male, mid 30's, about 5' 7" to 5' 9" tall. He has a dark complexion and stocky with a muscular build, with brown eyes, black hair, un-kept goatee and scruffy facial hair. He has a poor complexion and he had a small, clear band-aid on his right cheek. The suspect was last seen wearing a black ball cap, possibly backwards, a black t-shirt with white writing and black pants.

    this looks very similar to the guy that was just arrested in grand rapids for holding a woman against her will with the threat to rape her, the story was posted under teen attacker on woodtv.com,24-year-old Fitzpatrick Eugene Williams.... could this be the same guy???

    ....and we are just now hearing about this ??? !!!! How many women have walked in that area not knowing this new danger !! Why the wait ?????
