WE CAUGHT UP WITH EDGREKIA BLACKMON TODAY... WHO ALMOST DIDN'T SURVIVE THE FOURTH OF JULY ACCIDENT OUTSIDE HER HOME ON INGHAM STREET.
THE EXPLOSION LEFT HER WITH FIRST AND SECOND DEGREE BURNS,, A BAD SCAR ON HER HEAD,, AND NO SIGHT IN HER RIGHT EYE.
SHE TELLS US SHE DIDN'T THINK SHE WAS GOING TO SURVIVE.

BLACKMON SAID THERE'S A CHANCE HER VISION IN HER RIGHT EYE COULD COME BACK.
THE LANSING FIRE DEPARTMENT SAID SHE DID EVERYTHING RIGHT WHEN LIGHTING THE FIREWORK... AND THE INCIDENT WAS AN UNFORTUNATE ACCIDENT.
