Jordyn Wieber is a favorite at the U.S. Olympic Trials. The DeWitt native says she's not nervous and is ready to start competing.
"I'm most looking forward to doing my routines," she said during an interview Wednesday in San Jose.
She'll get a chance to do that on Friday, when the women compete. The women also compete on Sunday.
"She is ready," said Coach John Geddert. He said Jordyn will rest Thursday and perhaps watch the men compete for part of the meet.
NBC Color Commentator and 1984 Olympic Gold Medalist Tim Daggett says Jordyn is a favorite heading into the Olympics.
"Jordyn has a lot of strengths, but basically I think the thing that really sets her apart from everyone else is her ability to focus under the most extreme conditions," said Daggett.
We'll have much more on Jordyn Wieber coming up tonight on News 10.
