W. Michigan Man Dies After Snowmobile Hits Truck

MONTAGUE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities say a 41-year-old western Michigan man has died after his snowmobile collided with a truck north of Muskegon.

Muskegon County Sheriff Dean Roesler says David Knapp of Rothbury is believed to have been killed early Saturday when his sled struck a truck parked on the shoulder of a road in Montague.

Roesler tells WOOD-TV and The Muskegon Chronicle that the accident occurred sometime between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Saturday. A nearby resident called police at 6 a.m. after discovering the wreckage.
