A Michigan soldier, killed in Afghanistan, is being remembered in Owosso today.
Army Pfc. Shane Cantu died August 28th when he was hit with shrapnel in a bomb attack at his base.
Visitation for the 20-year-old will be Saturday and Sunday at the Nelson-House Funeral Home. That's on Mason Street from 2:00-8:00 p.m.
Cantu's funeral will be Monday at 5:00 pm. at Corunna High.
Governor Rick Snyder has ordered flags to half-staff Monday in Cantu's honor.
"Cantu made the ultimate sacrifice in service to this county, and he will forever be remembered as a hero by the community of Corunna and the entire great lakes state," Snyder said in a statement.
Cantu was a 2010 graduate of Corunna High School.
Flags will remain at half-staff Tuesday, September 11, for Patriot Day, as well.
