US Asks Iran To Release Michigan Native

The United States is calling on Iran to release a Michigan man who has been detained in an Iranian prison since 2011.
Amir Hekmati, a Flint native and former US marine, was sentenced to death by an Iranian court last year.
Iran accuses him of spying for the CIA, but he maintains he was only in Iran to visit his grandmother.
The Obama administration denies he is a spy and is asking Tehran this morning to free him and two other Americans who have been held for years in Iranian prisons.
