East Lansing - East Lansing Police say they no longer believe a woman reported missing is in danger. ELPD says Sarah Jane Jackson has contacted her family and has assured them she is fine. "Her family and the East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) do not believe that she is in any danger and believe that she is missing voluntarily," says a statement issued by the East Lansing Police Department Tuesday morning.
Jackson has yet to return home. ELPD is not seeking criminal charges in this case and it is now considered a family matter.
On Saturday ELPD took a report that Jackson, 23, had left from a home in the 1300 block of Chartwell Dual Carriage Way with the father of two of her three children. The father was soon located in the neighborhood, but Jackson was not.
