LANSING- A man accused of shooting his step-brother is charged with 2 felonies, but not assault or attempted murder. Virgil Lee Hall, Sr., 53, was arraigned Thursday for felon in possession of a firearm, felony firearm, and being a habitual offender. Hall was arrested Tuesday night at a home on Ferrol Street in Lansing, after his step-brother appeared at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. Police say the step-brothers had an argument, that escalated into a physical altercation and then Hall shot the victim. The 53-year-old shooting victim has a non-life-threatening injury.
