UAW to Protest at Snyder's State of State Speech

LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- The United Auto Workers and other labor unions are calling on members to protest before and during Gov. Rick Snyder's third State of the State address in Lansing.

The Republican governor's speech is scheduled for Wednesday evening in the state Capitol.

The UAW and other unions are planning to be outside to protest GOP policies they say are hurting the middle class. They're especially upset about a new law ending requirements that workers pay union dues or fees as a condition of employment.

The UAW wants members to bring families, friends, co-workers and children to the demonstration.

I would provide a tent to keep everyone warm but the Union Thugs are so ill that they will destroy it without thinking of the tents purpose.

Considering the UAW is $39 million in the hole for the Black Lake Country Club, one would have to ask, whom are they looking out for??? If they had invested in business, rather than fleecing them, all would be GRAND!!!

How do you identify this subliminal endorsement?

@Steve, why is that? Because unions are still running the show! This law hasn't been in effect long enough to make a difference. You can't bash a bill when it hasn't had time to make a change but hey all the facts you state are union driven. You are right though "Not one job has been created, just more money and status for the rich!" Thank you unions.

@ Anonymous99...I'm in a union and still work for peanuts--will be glad to ditch them ASAP and keep more of the scraps I do get!

Can you imagine how these fat cats would have us working If it weren't for Unions? If they could get away with it they would have us slaveing away for peanuts. Anonnimous would have us think the unions are a good ole boys club like the gop.

It's time to make a stand. BOYCOTT MICHIGAN LOCAL BUISNESS! They are the driving force behind the anti union, anti Michigan platform now in effect! Not one job has been created, just more money and status for the rich!

We know the station is very liberal and support anything that the union does. The station should do something about its sublinal endorsement of obama every day. Two to three hours of Obama picture shown every day does give a strong hint who they endorsed.
